Two Ways to Enter Time

1. Check-in/Check-Out

Checking in

  1. Open the SiteMax App: Launch the SiteMax App on your mobile device. Once you're in, you'll see a list of projects that are assigned to you. Choose the project you're working on by tapping on it.

  2. Access the Check-In Option: At the bottom of your screen, you'll find a set of tab icons. Look for the "+ button" among these icons and give it a tap.

  3. Choose the Time Option: A new page will open up. On this page, you'll find various icons representing different actions. Locate and tap on the "Time" icon. This action will reveal a menu of options.

  4. Initiate the Check In: Among the options presented, select "Check In" (others see "Multiple Check In/Out") This action will take you to the "Check In/Out" page.

Note: If you have the option "Multiple Check In/Out" instead of just "Check In", there will be another page listing other users you can check in/out, select those you need to enter time and proceed to next step (Step# 5). You are seeing it because you have more permissions and can create time for others.

  5. Fill Out Details and Start: On the "Check In/Out" page, you'll be prompted to fill out necessary details. This might include the project details, your task, and any relevant notes. Once you've entered this information, hit the "Start" button to officially start tracking your work time. 1. Click the + button

Checking out

  1. Access Running Timer: Above the tab bar, you'll notice a gray banner. This banner represents your active timer. Tap on it to proceed.

  2. Stop and Review: The "Check In/Out" page will appear again. Here, review the information you've entered to make sure it's accurate. If everything checks out, hit the "Stop" button to conclude your time tracking. If you're switching to another project, you have the option to do so without stopping the timer.

Changing Project or Work

  1. Access Running Timer: Just like before, locate the gray banner above the tab bar and give it a tap. This banner indicates your ongoing timer.

  2. Select Your Action: On the "Check In/Out" page, you'll find options like "Switch Project," "Switch Work," "Switch Cost-Code," or "Split Time." Choose the action that matches what you need to do.

  3. Review and Apply Changes: Take a moment to review the details you've entered for the action you're taking. Once you're satisfied, finalize your selection. Be aware that upon finalizing, the page will close immediately, indicating that your changes have been applied.

2. Manual Time Entry

  1. Open the SiteMax App: Launch the SiteMax App on your mobile device. Once you're in, you'll see a list of projects that are assigned to you. Choose the project you're working on by tapping on it.

Note: If you have the option "Multiple Manual Time Entries" instead of just "Manual Time Entry", there will be another page listing other users you can check in/out, select those you need to enter time and proceed to next step (Step# 5). You are seeing it because you have more permissions and can create time for others.

5. Fill Out Details and Save: On the "Manual Time Entry" page, you'll be prompted to fill out necessary details. Once you've entered this information, hit the "Save" button.
