Save on empty space and group your fields together as needed using the Column Layout component.

To build forms with Column Layout, follow the steps below:

Drag and drop the column button into your form builder. Then, drag and drop your desired components into the columns.

Click the pencil icon to edit functionality, and add up to 4 columns on 1 row.

Once you have clicked "edit" you will be provided with the following fields that can be edited.

  • Show Component: Allows you to select whether you want to show columns on-screen only or on PDF as well.

  • Title-based Visibility: Restricts visibility of the column to users with a specific user title.

  • Number of Columns: Select the number of equally spaced columns you want (max 4). Edit the column's width to accommodate larger field entries.

  • Break Into Rows on Mobile: Select whether you want the columns to show up as rows on mobile due to screen size.

  • Field Dependency: Add a field dependency to only make the column components visible with the target field entry.

You can also drag and drop a column into another.

Once you have set your columns, drag and drop item(s) into them.

Column Layout Borders

Customize your form's digital display using the Border feature in the Column Component.

When editing the Column Layout Component, there will be options to choose from to enable both Outer and Inner Borders:

The borders will only be displayed in the Form's view on Mobile, Web, and Tablet. The PDF export of a form will not be enhanced with the Borders enabled.
