Editing Form Builder Components
Enhance your forms with automation and customization using Form Builder Components. Start by choosing the component you would like to edit and click on the pencil icon.
On the left-hand side of your form builder, you will find Edit options for your selected component. Below are the options in detail.
Show Component
Indicates where the component will show on the form (Always, On-screen only, On PDF only, or never).
Title-based Visibility
Indicates which users can view and edit the component based on their job title. For example, if you want only the Project Manager to fill a specific form field, click on the "Project Manager" title. You may select multiple titles.
Input Options
Under Input Options, you can customize your field to only allow entries in either Text or Number format.
When using the Number format, you will be given the option to set the Max # of Decimal Points. This feature is useful when creating components that autofill or mathematical calculation inputs.
Repeatable List
When editing Group Components, there is an option to enable a repeatable list. By clicking yes and adding an Item count, your Group Component will appear repeatable in the form, as seen below:
Autofill
Use autofill to auto-populate data fields into the form by selecting the field type of the data you would like the form to grab from.
Data ID
Data ID can be useful when creating dependencies and enabling labelling. You can copy a component's Data ID by hovering over the component's options and clicking on the clipboard icon.
Utilize field dependencies to link components to specific field entries, enhancing your form's functionality. For instance, when a field option like 'yes' is selected, an 'Explain' component will automatically be displayed.
To create conditional field dependencies, simply click on 'yes' and define the target field dependency.
Display Timestamp
Signature components have the option to Display Timestamp on all signatures provided and can be found in the left side panel when editing the component.
When a signature is provided, the Timestamp will appear below the signature with the date, time, user, and geolocation.
Display the Timestamp on a Change made to Radio and Checkbox components by enabling this setting.
The Timestamp will display the user, date and time the change was made.
