Question:

A user checked-in but it shows in the SiteMax app that the user was outside the Geo-fence but we can confirm he is in the project location. Why is happening and how can we fix it?

Answer:

It seems there might be a discrepancy in how the app is recording locations. The app relies on the phone's location settings. Check the iPhone's location settings to ensure that the SiteMax app has access to the user's location. Here are the steps to check and adjust location settings for the SiteMax app on an iPhone:

  1. Open Settings: Locate the "Settings" app on the home screen. It looks like a gear icon.

  2. Privacy Settings: Scroll down and tap on "Privacy" or "Privacy & Security". It's represented by a hand holding a heart.

  3. Location Services: Tap on "Location Services" at the top. You might need to scroll down a bit to find it.

  4. App List: Scroll through the list of apps to find "SiteMax". This is where you can customize location settings for individual apps.

  5. Choose Location Access: Tap on "SiteMax". You'll have three options:

    • Never: This means the app can't access your location at all.

    • Ask Next Time: The app will ask for permission every time you use it.

    • While Using the App: The app can only access your location when it's actively being used.

    • Always

  6. Select Preferred Option: Choose "While Using the App" to allow SiteMax to access your location only when you're using it.

This should help ensure that the app accurately records his location when he signs in. If there are any further issues, please let us know.
